Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest Mental Health and Disability Trusts in England, employing more than 6,000 staff, serving a population of approximately 1.4 millio. The Trust operates from over 60 sites and provides a great range of clinical and corporate services. We draw upon all of this expertise to provide assistance to partners with whom we have contracts, this provides a high degree of flexibility and enables an easy finding of potential solutions to issues raised. It is one of only 2 mental health trusts to be awarded “outstanding” rating by the care quality commission in 2016 and again in 2018 It is the only trust to achieve outstanding in 4 out of the 5 areas.
