Case study
NHS Northumbria International Alliance – Northumbria, UK
Founded and hosted by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Northumberland County Council, NHS Northumbria International Alliance is a public sector organisation that brings international customers the very best of the UK’s NHS and social care to support their projects.
In the United Arab Emirates, the Dubai Health Authority identified a market gap for provision of urgent care and other hospital services within a well-established expat and tourist area. Based on the new emergency care models being developed in the UK, modified to meet local regulations and cultural norms, NHS Northumbria International Alliance supported the client and the Dubai Health Authority to meet demand.
The integrated health and social care model includes seamless patient-centric experience across all care settings; technology to safely manage the patient across and between all care interfaces, including a unified patient record accessed by the multidisciplinary team; and, rapid response from community-based solutions, to prevent avoidable hospitalisation.
